He looked up at his sister as they walk back to the den. His eyes held hers for a secongd but she could tell how pissed he was. The blue ring aroun his black eyes completely gone. The black seemed impossiblt dark. He walked into his room quietly already missing her wondering when he would see her again. he feel into a fitful sleep.

"I'm worried about him, Palaina." I said quietly as I lay in his arms in our room. I sighed quietly when he licked my ear.

"Baby don't worry about him he'll be okay."

They had made quick time, and had arrived at their den just before dusk. Kuy had sent the boys off into the their rooms as I looked at Estoni and waited for what her father would say. Walking back out he sighed, and stared at her. "Estoni, Estoni, Estoni..." He said, his blue eyes looking up at her. "What am I going to do with you?"

He looked up to find his mothers head poking into his room when he awoke. "Yes mother is there something you need?" She nodded, "Yes your father and I would like to talk to you." She then turned and walked out of his room.

He got up and shook out his pelt then padded his way into the livingroom where his parents where sitting next to each other. He walked to the front of them and sat down. He looked back and forth at them suspiciously. "Yes?" He asked tentivley.

I looked sideways at Palaina and nodded for him to take over. He then nodded and took over. Breathing in deeply he asked, "Son, how serious are you about Estoni?"

"You know how I feel about you hanging out with guys, and I should know how you feel, as your mother and I went throught the same thing when we were younger," He started. He wasn't angry at her, no, he was angry at Joram. He knew he couldn't keep her for falling for him, or any other guy, and he was okay with it to an extent because it was his friend's son. However, he still felt that fatherly notion that he should rip him to shreads.

Estoni sat and listened as her father talked about how they were when they were yougner. She loved listening to their stories, they seemed like a fairytale. A very lovely fairytale.

"Well you know how yo always tell us stories about when yo first met and how it just...felt right?" He raised an eyebrow at his parents and after they both nodded he continued. "Well that's just it it feels right between her and I." He stood and started walking back and fortha a hazey look on his face. He didn't continue to talk after that.

I leaned over to Palaina's ear and whispered to him, "I think we lost the kid." He let out a low laugh then straightened up again.

"Joram." Instantly he looked up at us.

"Oh sorry father," he paused then looked at me and bowed, "Mother." He then looked at us again awaiting what we were to say next.

"We are fine with you and Estoni. It will be Kuy you have the trouble with son." Joram nodded his head in understanding. Then walked to the den door and out into the night. It was clear andthe stars and moon shown brightly.

--next morning--

Estoni opened her eyes and stared around her surroundings. At first she couldn't remember where she was or how she had gotten there but it had happened so fast that is was all a blur. She could remember her feelings for Joram, yet not much of anything else. Yawning she got to her feet and stretched. Her father really hadn't said much last night, walking out into the main room from her bedroom, she stepped out into the fresh morning air and sun, smile coming to her lips as her memories of Joram filled her head.

He knew his parents wouldn't come and check on him now that the only reason to was gone. By the time the sun was coming up he was amost there. His parents had no idea that he had left but he needed to see Estoni. He couldn't stay away from her now that he knew just how much he loved her, and how much she loved him back. He stayed a ways away from their den in the light morning.

He also knew that Kuy and Kahlan would have already been in bed. Finally he saw her walk out of the den. He followed her slowly to were she was going.

She stopped near the creek that ran through a clearing she knew. Sitting down, she closed her eyes, and the memories flooded back to her, a soft peaceful smile coming to her lips. She hadn't realized it, but she was humming a lovely tune as she shifted threw her thoughts and feelings for Joram, and what this could mean for the future.

He sat there and listened to her as she hummed lightly. As she closed her eyes he slowly wlaked towards her stoping about five feet away. He could hear her breathing evenly in and out. He walked up slowly to her and gave her check a light lick.

Startled, she jumped back and opened her eyes in shock, her mouth opening to let out a scream, but she stopped as his scent enveloped her, and she saw him. A smile came to her face as she knew it was Joram. "Joram!" She called and ran up to him and smothered his muzzle in licks. "I've missed you so much."

He laughed when she jumped back in surprise. "I missed you too hun." He leaned in and gave her a long hug his head resting on her shoulders. He lightly licked her ear. "How are you? Did your parents say anything to you about you seeing me?" He asked these questions quickly slurring someof the words together.

He sat on the ground looking around. He was slightly tired from being up all night. His sleeping scedual all screwed up, but right at that moment he didn't care he was happy to be any where near her. He looked into her eyes and smiled

"Not really, my father wasn't upset at me or anything, infact, he really relaxed when we got home," She said, thinking to last night. She looked back into his eyes, returning a lovely smile to him. She didn't know of him staying here all night.

Sighing in content he lay down and watched her sitting there. He let his eye lids close softly. He spoke without opening his eyes. "I'm going to have to leave soon. I woke up last night and no one knows I came here. SO I will have to leave to make it back fast enough." He looked up at her and gave her a weak smile. "I love you."

"You shouldn't have come all the way here, staying up like you did!" She said, concern rushing through her veins. Oh, she wondered what went through this boy's head sometimes.

He looked at her and laughed. "I would rather see you in person then be tortured only seeing you in my dreams." He looked up and smiled at her. "At least I don't have to suffer your rath very long."

At that he got up and licked her ear. "So yell, scream or attack me for how ever long you would like to in the next half an hour because after that I have to get home with in the next threeish hours after that which will be extremly tough so spare my energy." He ended on a laugh and waited for what she would do. He loved the fact that she held concern for him.

Joram still wasn't back by the time damn had hit but I wasn't worried he was probably asleep in some medow. So Palaina and I headed off to bed for the day. We would see him when he came home or when we awoke which ever one.
