I need some help my friends ><
So basically, in the beginning of NaNoWriMo I was all excited because I loved my story a bunch! I outlined a plot and thought it looked good. Now I'm not so sure... do you guys like my plot, or does it seem kinda stupid? Or maybe to complicated.... Below gives what I started off with, and then the outline of my plot. Please help me out! (Note: the plot line is very general with no character descriptions, if you would like me to elaborate for a better understanding ask me to and I will do so in a reply)
Story of the Bear When the humans began to take over the world with their new innovations, many forests were destroyed. Bears no longer have a comfortable habitat to call home. The only species of bear left is one of the strongest, the grizzly bear. But they have begun to adapt, and even in 50 years you can begin to see a change from what they looked like in 2004. They are smaller then before, for the food supply is low, and their claws longer and sharper to protect them from the dangers of mankind. The future for the bears is looking dim as more and more areas are taken over, but there is one last hope: in a valley between four mountains there is a place where humans cannot inhabit, for any that have become terribly ill and die. Is this the key to the bears survival, or will humans just find yet another antibiotic and take over that region as well?
Story of the Dog Humans no longer have the need for real life companions. Sure, there are a few out there who have living dogs at their sides, but mainly if a person wants a pet they get the new and improved “RoboPet” which is exactly like any pet you want, only without the need to clean up after it, or brush it, or anything else that takes the fun out of owning a pet. So dogs have been exiled to the streets where life is extremely difficult to maintain. They eat what they can get their paws on, but that isn’t a lot after the new recycling method has been developed. Humans don’t even seem to notice the clumps of emancipated dogs huddled on street corners or hidden in tunnels. The dogs miss their close relationship with the humans. But they have to do something, don’t they? What move could help them to get their rightful place back at the humans side?
Story of the Dolphin Dolphins have always been seen as the second smartest animal on earth, first being humans. So as humans take over, the dolphins see the danger in what is going on. Even before the advancements in human technology have been made, the dolphins move to the middle of the ocean, trying to get as far away from the land humans inhabit as they can. However, this isn’t enough and the dolphins begin to die out with all the other sea creatures as the waters they live in become polluted. However, many dolphins are taken into the lives of the humans to live in zoos. Zoos, although not wildly popular, are a main attraction of the time so that humans can look at what used to thrive on their planet. Dolphins are the main attraction, while other animals such as wolves, bears, dogs, housecats, deer, tigers, giraffes, and more are some of the other attractions. What do the dolphins do as they change their lifestyles from living in an open expanse of water, to living in a small enclosed cage? What is their philosophy on everything that has happened in the past years, and what will happen in the years to come?
Story of the Human Guess what? Cancer was cured! And not only that, but many new medicines have been made to help save billions of lives all over the world. Other new inventions have taken place too, to make life easier and more comfortable for many humans across the globe. Cities have grown, populations have reached an all time maximum. Forests have been destroyed to create new homes. Pieces of land have been floated on the ocean to make more space for more people. Humans are living a happy life, but while doing so they are cutting off all other needs for anything else living. New inventions have made it possible for them to live with nothing but them and their concrete buildings on this world. Despite many environmentalists’ protests, the civilizations keep getting more and more intelligent with new technology. The people who believe this is morally incorrect are shot down, literally murdered or exiled by the government. People in the world of 2054 have evolved so that they are all very similar in not only their looks, but their ideas as well. How will they get over this? Will there be a hero strong enough to overcome this? What great mind will branch out?
Plot Part One: Bear
- Cairi is shot by nearby hunters, making it apparent that the bears must leave their settlement (these bears, unlike most, have been forced to live as a clan) and travel to safety, but where?
- Old Wester suggests they find Kayfur, a land which is otherwise called "The Land At the End of the Rainbow" because it is nearly impossible to find. It's hidden away in the mountains.
- The clan leaves to travel to Kayfur because that's their only choice.
- Somehow (not sure, help?) angers Polarth and Polarth banishes him. Inida, Denath's mother, follows because she can't leave her cub abandoned.
- Inida stuggles with the hardships of the mountain and she still is mourning over Cairi's death. She wants to stop, and just let death take over, but when she looks at Denath, she sees Cairi in his eyes and she knows she can't give up.
- The meet Bones, a helpful wolf, and travel with him getting through the difficulties of the mountaisn (what difficulties? Help)
- Bones, Inida, and Denath finally reach Kayfur. (music to match = somewhere over the rainbow)
- A day after they arrive, dogs storm into the valley.
- End of Part 1
Part 2: Dog
- Legend of Coral is shared with the pups. This is their ancient history and why they live on the streets begging for humans attention. The dogs are somewhat still in shock and don't want to do anything but remember the old days.
- Young Sorayia and Kota play together, and Sorayia shows her difference from the rest of the dogs, showing that she wants to make a difference.
- As Sorayia and Kota grow older, Kota follows around the powerful Sorayia who continually gets more and more angry towards her relatives who seem to be brainwashed. They take no action to better their situation. Sorayia wants different.
- Sorayia, not knowing how to better the situation turns to drastic measures and begins killing humans trying to lower their population and make a point.
- She begins a gang, w/ Kota always staying at her side. (nothing romantic about their relationship)
- The gang, who always knew that simply killing humans wouldn't better their situation enough, hear of Kayfur, and Sorayia sends Kota and some others to investigate.
- Kota and others storm into Kayfur and ask for help. They agree after they hear the dogs' story. They don't have a plan though.
- Alone, Kota races back to tell Sorayia his news, but he gets caught by some humans and is put into a zoo -- a common place for dogs.
- Kota hatches a plan to escape (what plan? Help) the zoo and spreads around the fact that the bears and the dogs are going to rebel against the humans, and anybody who wants to help can escape with him.
- News of this reaches the dolphins, who don't like the idea at all.
- End Part 2
Part 3: Dolphins
- Zeeggan tells Melrit and Od about the old ways and how much he misses being able to ride up alongside boats and go close to the shore. It's impossible now because the center of the ocean is the only place not polluted.
- Melrit, always looking out for only himself, is tricked by a shark who tells him that he will not survive unless he gets rid of his friends. So, Melrit leads his friends into a deathly trap, and when the trap doesn't work, his friends are disgusted with him. He too is disgusted with himself, unsure why he let the shark get into his head.
- His friends abandon him, and so Melrit, seeing no happiness in life is majorly depressed. He accepts his exile, swimming into the dark zone of the ocean, hoping that it will kill him. (music to match -- against the grain). He blacks out, thinking that it's the end.
- Melrit waks up in the zoo. At first, he hates it and just wants to die, but another dolphin (name not decided) cheers him up, showing him the plusses of zoo life.
- Melrit finds zoo life much more comfortable then having to worry in the wild. After all, the unpolluted ocean space was fading fast, and soon enough the only dolphins left would be those in captivity.
- The word reaches the dolphins ears that a dog is striking a rebellion against the humans after he escapes. The dolphins are entirely against the rebellion, arguing that their species will go extinct if the rebellion is successful and the humans are taken under control.
- They try everything to warn the humans of the pending danger, but humans obviously don't speak the language of the dolphin. They are unsuccessful, at least until one human (character name undecided) realizes what is up. However, the dolphins don't see the reaction they want, he is actually excited for the rebellion.
Part 4: Human PLOT UNDECIDED. SUGGESTIONS GREATLY APPRECIATED How should the rebellion turn out? What should happen in the end? Will the world ever get back to normal? WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN?
Thanks for looking, and thanks in advanced for replying and helping me out <3

Ugh. I would hate to live in the world where cancer and whatever major diseases are cured. Sounds incredibly mean, but however I just think we're getting over populated as it is. I think that total war should break out, and mother nature helps out against the humans because they are destroying her and the planet. and a lot of humans are killed and now the population is really diminished, like only 50k. Yeah, we totally just killed off billions. Then mother earth re-populates the earth with animals, and the humans learn that they can't just do total damnation or they'll be corrected. [/blockquote]

Yeah xD I've thought about that alot. That's kinda where this story is going, only it's the animals that help to lower the human population. I don't really know how though ><

Well, yeah, but do they like, totally kill the human population, or what? And does that sound a bit to fake?? I like making things as realistic as I can (even though, yes, the animals do talk to each other in this... hm)

50 thousand. Ok, then what? Lol xD Do they like, beg for mercy? Lol. Or are they like, all the good people? Like the one character I make that is a human totally agrees with the animals. maybe he joins up with the animals and then they kill everybody and so the only humans that survive are the good ones? But then what happens to the earth? It's going to be really hard to get it back to normal.... =/

I think the few that survive realize what is happening and retreat away, and try to speak with the animals and ask them why they are doing this. Or something. Then the remaining humans finally get along with nature and live in peace and they stop destroying everything. They also help rebuild the earth to make up for what their race did? [/blockquote]

Personally, I think that this sounds really good. I read a lot of what you wrote and I would give it a thumbs up. I like how you switched the P.O.V's but still made each part relevant to each other. For the human part, I am not too sure what you should do there.... I think a lot has been said about that already though.
