* Just a quick note. I did about 18K on the original novel that I was writing, but the plot ran away from me and so I started over. I also have lots of random chapters, so I won't have much here for now. Also, I did a bit of fixing up on my first chapter, so some of it may not be what the final product says.

(c) to Silver on Esuora, Silverwing2 on Nanowrimo and Silver/Silverwing on Scribbles. Do not steal or you will be in a great heap of trouble.
01 Monstrosity
I felt a whirlwind of pain thumping in my head. Thump. Thump. Thump. That pain melted away before my eyes, but not the dizziness. I struggled to get up as I was feeling rather weak from last night. What had happened though, I was quite unsure.
I wasn't sure if I should tell my Mother or not what had happened because as understanding as she is, she can be quite a pain. I walked through the front door and hung my coat up to the left of me. My Mum came running from around the corner and then she kissed me on the cheek.
"Jazlyn, you're home! You have no idea how worried I have been! Where were you?" she exclaimed recovering from her worried self.
"I guess I just fell asleep," I muttered. I was avoiding telling her the truth because I didn't want her to pity me.
"Fell asleep? At a bowling alley? Nonsense!" she responded as she crossed her arms and gave me 'the look.' It was as if she was telling me to confess what had really happened.
"Look, can we talk about this later? I have a lot of homework to do," I lied.
I didn't want to hear her anymore because she kept on treating me like I was an irresponsible little kid. Quite frankly, I was sick of it.
I flipped open my laptop and typed in my symptoms. Seizures, dizziness, pain. I clicked on several of the links, but each one of them claimed that I had all of these different diseases. If they were in the family, then my Mum would have told me about them, or at least gotten me tested!
I crossed off the screen and spent the rest of the day in my room.
The next day I felt even worse, I felt as if I was going to kill someone! I had this burning in my throat, so I drank some water. To make things worse, I threw up. So I walked to school with the snowflakes falling on me.
My day was very long because first, I sat beside Frank who told me the story about his dog Daisy, which he told me every, single, day. Then, in Science, I sat beside Mary Louis who didn't speak at all. So when it was time to do labs, I had to do them all by myself. She just sat there keeping to herself. Next, I sat beside Elizabeth who would not be quiet! She kept on talking to me and I got in trouble. I was happy by the end of the day because I got to sit beside David, one of my best friends. He didn't tell me about his dog and he didn't not speak and he wasn't oh so bubbly. This made me very happy.
By the time I got home I was still feeling uncontrollable and I finally decided that it was time to talk to my Mum. Unfortunately, I had to wait for her to come home from work first. When she opened the front door, I approached her.
"Mum, can we talk?" I asked nervously, as I was not sure what she would say.
"Sure, honey. Can you wait until I get in the door first though?" she asked. I wasn't the slightest bit puzzled, only embarrassed. I blushed and moved out of the way.
"Of course." She took off her coat and boots and walked to wards the lounge. I followed.
"Now what was it that you wanted to talk about?" she questioned as she sat down on the couch. I however, found it much easier to confess things when I standing.
"Well, you see. Last night, there was this voice telling me to go into the alleyway and I listened to it. I didn't want to get hurt. Then it told me to look up at the moon and so I did, but then my body was like a rag doll and I think that I might have had a seizure. When I awoke this morning, I felt rather dizzy and weak," I explained to her. My Mother looked shocked, her eyes were wide open, but her body was still.
"This is kind of hard for me to explain, but I knew that it was coming someday. In the family, there are these creatures, which are thirsty for blood-"
"Vampires?" I asked with curiosity.
"Yes. The transformation occurs at different times with different people and what happened to you last night, was the transformation," she replied. Nahrya, my Mother, looked kind of frightened to how I may reply and honestly, I wasn't even sure how to react.
"So you're telling me that I am a vampire?" I inquired. Part of me wanted to run off and live my life and the other half of me wanted to stay and listen.
"Well yes." she squinted and held her fists tight. She was probably nervous because I have always been a difficult child who never listens.
"Why should I even believe what you just said? None of it sounds real, it just sounds made up!" I argued. As much as I wanted to believe her, I felt like she was making a story up just to cover up what I really was or had. [/blockquote]
