welcome to ridelia !

in a large world that is the home of demons, witches, vampires, griffins, talking animals,
nymphs, mermaids, and anything the heart can imagine when one says "fantasy," lies
a quaint village, known to all as ridelia. the most diverse village in this myth and magick.
on the outside, all seems to be calm here. all seems to be quaint. tranquil. utterly serene.
and how could it not be? people of all races and beliefs living together in one village is not
something practiced everywhere in this world. peace must be spread thickly in this village.

you'd be terribly wrong in making this assumption. for underneath the peaceful exterior
of this village lies a history painted with blood. for one hundred years ago, the goddess
of the moon decided to bring magick to this world, which resulted in bringing darkness and
evil to this world as well. a schism was born: there were those who worshipped the dark,
and those who worshipped the light. while neither can prevail in the hearts of all, light and
dark will continually attempt to shadow over the other. as long as there is light and dark
in the village, there will never, truly, be what one calls "peace." yet, we can all pretend.

but all are welcome here in ridelia, and as long as this is true, than what could go wrong?
here you can live life, set up shop, invent new gadget, and enjoy the village's many festivals.
but will ignore this schism between the darkness and light? ignore choosing "sides," and
just keep to yourself? or would you rather unlock the many mysteries of this enigma?

ridelia is a loose, sandbox fantasy roleplay, where your imagination can let loose and
is unbridled! make up any race you want for your character - don't feel the need to be
limited to the usual vampire and werewolf - for anything is welcome here! you can even
give your character magickal abilities, or maybe you want them to be a normal human?
that can be done! join in on our many festivals and events - and you can even feel free to
start events of your own! set up farms, shops, and even celebrate character birthdays
