Snowy Forest

[Anakalia]

Though I loved talking to her i was thankful she told me to rest. I looked into space and tried to find out why they took my blood and not hers. Maybe t was because she was pregnant. Speaking of pregnant she needed to eat!

I stood up and started to bark agian. Trying to get the stupid humans back into the room.

Kahlan looked up at me. "Whats wrong. You need food." I said and continued on with my barking.

I nodded, food would be very much appreciated! I stood up and started barking too.

"Oh, I hope they bring fresh meat!" I said inbetween barking. I was staring at the door, waiting for them to come.

As we barked it echoed off the walls making it seem like there were more of us then there really were. I could barely hear the door open when the humans came in again. They were carring these shiny silver things in there hands there were two humans and each carried four of those things. We had stopped barking. They came to our cages and set the things in a latch at the bottom of the cages. Kahlan and I went to see what they were.

I grimaced at the food they gave us it was drie and wasnt meat. The water smelled putrid. I sighed and dumped my food bowl over and pushed the food into Kahlans cage she needed it more then I.

"Here."

I stopped varking when they came in, and set the bowls in the latch things, and happily padded over. I was unaware that I couldn't smell blood, as I was intent on eating. When I looked into the bowl, I grimaced almost exactly at the same time Anakalia did.

"What the... what the hell is this stuff?" I said lowering my head and sniffing the round dried up balls. I gingerly took one with my teeth and bit down. Instantly I almost spat it out. "Yuck!" I jumped bacl, rasing my paw and lowering my ears in digust. I hadn't noticed that Anakaila had dumped her food into my cage, and I said thanks, even if the food wasn't all that great. Didn't they know we ate meat?

I sat back in the corner next to Kahlans cage. And watched as she ate. I could see the disgust on her face, but she needed to eat. I stood and walkked to my water dish and took a drink. I swolowed the horrid stuff and went to lay down again. Kahlan had finished eating now, and lay to where he head was looking toward my cage.

"I wonder what the guys are doing." I said quietly. The door opened again. This time Kahlan nor I barked or growled once.

They walked to my cage and i let out a low growl but went wit them anyways. They took me into yet another room i hadnt gone into before. There was another wolf there. He was a light gray in color. He had green eyes.

"Hey baby. What's up." He said in an all to friendly tome. I scoffed at him and looked away. I sat in a corner away from them all. He walked over to me, and paced before me. "My names Jake," he said sitting before me. "And you are."

I didnt like the way this wolf acted. I growled a little. "Its none of your business." i replied my tone short.

"You do know what there gonna make us do right?"

I looked at him more curious now. "WHat?"

"There gonna make us breed." At that i took off barking and growling. "I dont need you i already have a mate." The humans grabbed me agian and tried to keep me under control but i wouldn't. Soon they took me back to my cage.I was fuming mad.

"What's wrong?" she asked. At that i told her what they told me.

"What!" I said, at the top of my lungs. I bet that is why they took her blood. I shook my head. "Humans. Disgustingly stupid."

Dragging a freshly killed bull moose, Kuy sniffed the air. There was a horrid stentch underlining the heavy scent of blood, and he stopped when he saw the scuffed up snow. A growl emitting from deep withen his throat, he dropped the moose, and stepped towards the den, hackles raised. He sniffed. The sweet scent of his mate was stale.

Stepping into the den, he looked around, he poked his head into our room, and then into their room. No sign of the she-wolfs. Angerily, he burst out of the den and looked around him widely. There was oddly shaped tracks, kinda like a half moon, but not really. He saw the impression of two wolves laying down in the snow, and the many foot tracks around them. The heavy stench of humans was so strong, he knew what happened. He lifted his head, ad let out an angry howl.

"Palaina!" He roared.

I looked at Kahalan while she yelled about what they were gonna do to me. I wanted Palaina. I sighed and curled into a small ball.

I heard Kuy's howl and dropped my kill and ran to him. I smelled the scent of the man who was following me almost instantly. "Shit!" Kuy was pissed. Then again so was I. I had just found her. This is so not fair. I let out a large howl then looked at Kuy again.

"I think we should follow the tracks." Kuy said.

"Yeah I agree."

Finally, moy voice died down, and I sat down near the bars closet to her cage. I dropped to my side, and curled up as well. Small whimpering sounds came from my mouth as I wanted to cry out for Kuy to come to me. I wanted him so badley right now, I almost felt like I would cry, because I had never, nevcer felt so helpless before.

"Let's move," Kuy said, turning on the dime and racing off after the tracks. He knew they had picked them up to carry them back off to wherevr they came. He ran fast, hoping Palaina could keep up. Adrenaline shot up him, as he pounded on faster, he was not about to let them get his mate and unborn children that easily. He growled as he ran, ears pinned down, angry at the humans.

I woke up at sometime. I wasn't sure of the time any more night or day mid-day or mid-night. When i looked at Kahlan she was still asleep but it was very uneasy. I sighed. I was worried about ther and the guys. Taking a deep breath i thought about Palaina. I wonder what he was doing. I could tell he was going to be pissed that ws a given. I got up and walked about the cage again. My side was killing me from where i was throwing myself at the wall yesterday.

"What do you think there doing to them?" I asked Kuy silently as we chased on into the night.

"I'm not sure but htey better hope it's not tha bad becasue as of right now I'm planing on killing them fast, but if they are hurting them I'm killing them painfully."

"No kidding I can't wait to get my paws on them!" We'd been following the tracks for about half a day now. I was getting tiered but i didnt care if i died on my way there it would be because i was exerting myself to much. I just followed Kuy at his pace.

I rolled over onto my side, my rest uneasy.

Kuy ran on after talking. He wanted to keep quiet as he ran. They had covered much of his territory in the time they were following the tracks. They had changed form human tracks to parral tracks. He took a glance at Palaina, noticing that he was getting tired. He didn't say anything though, because for himself, he could go on forever to see her.

I looked up when the humans came in again. This time i didnt acknowledge that they were there. I stayed curled in my ball in the corner near Kahlan's cage. I looked over at her. She'd finally fell asleep not moving as much. When they opened up my cage again i sighed and looked up to glare at the human. They put a rope around my neck and a thing around my muzzle.


He took me back into the room where i met the other wolf. They left me on the floor but tied the rope to the table to where i couldn't lay or sit down. I heard the door open again. I didnt bother to look behind me. I just didn't care anymore.

"Hey baby." I stood up stragiter at the sound of his voice. My head was screaming GROSS GO WAY!!!"Guess what were gonna do." I could hear the smile in his voice.

I started to scwirm to try and get out of it. In guessing this is why they tied me up. I sat there through the whole thing. Not barking nor gowling for i knew it would do no good. As they led me back to the cage i started to cry silently. Kahlan was almost asleep when i got back so i lay in my corner cringing every few seconds. Tears still silently slipping throuh my eyes.

My dreams were haunted. In them, everything was flashing. Colors flew in front of my eyes while I stared around wildly. I felt my legs thrashing, my dream legs, and something at the back of my head was telling me that I was also moving around in my sleep. I opened my mouth to scream, I was getting dizzy, I didn't understand. Where was I? What's going on? I couldn't find my voice, couldn't scream out. Then I saw him, and my frantic movement stopped. All around me, the colors flashing turned a solitary pink. I looked at him, so beautiful with his golden pelt and blue eyes. I sighed in happiness before my mind was thrown in darkness.

I awoke with a start, and banged my head against the bars I jumped awake, the sound loud as it reverberated around the room. I cried out silently, taking my paw and rubbing it furiously over my the top of my head easing it. I turned sleepily towards Anakaila and almost screamed. She was crying, for what I didn't know. But to see my friend crying, made me want to ball my eyes out and just give up. I saw her body shake every now and then, and I couldn't figure why.

"What did they do?" I said, my voice rising in anger as I stared at her, horrified. What the hell were they thinking?

"I looked at her and attempted to wipe away the tears. Before she saw them. I needed to stay strong.

"Sorry I had no idea you were awake i thought you just hit your head and went abck to sleep. They? They did nothing they just took me to the room again and tired to get me to do stuff with the other wolf." As i said this I had to look away. You have no idea how bad i had felt about lying to her i didnt want to but i felt i had to.

The memories of what had happened to me were still strong in my mind. I felt myself cringe majorly. "How are you?" DId you finally get some sleep?"

I looked up at Kuy as we skirted the town to where the marks had led. We stayed in the deeper part of the forest near there. We had to wait until night which was a few hours off still. I did not want to wait, but us getting caught or shot at would help absolutely non. Kuy and I sat and looked at each other. Suddenly I felt a great pain and my whole body twitched.

Kuy looked at me "Are you okay?"

"I think their doing something to Anakalia!" I said as a great sadness washed over me again. I bolted for the street Kuy yelling after me to stop. WHen i got to the street I raced across to where i was in between two buildings.

I was furious. If they did anything to hrt my mate I was going to slowly rip them limb from limb if i had to. They had no right to hurt her. I'm coming for you. Stay in there. I thought as i mved behind the buildings so no one would see me.

I was feeling skeptical of her answer. I stared at her a long time, and decided, whatever happened, she didn't want to talk about it, and I would give her space. I still kept an eye on her as she turned towards me, and I spotted the involuntairly body movement.

"I did sleep, however feverish it was."

He was growling deep in his belly. He absolutely hated waiting for night to cover so they could sneak in and rescue their girls. He was fuming, and then he turned to Palaina when he shook. He asked his question, and when Palaina bolted, he tried yelling after him to stop. Screw it, I'm going along. He too raced towards the street where the roar of a car was strong in his ears. He yelped loudly when the car clipped n the side, trying to swerve out of the way, but ended up going his directions.

"Stupid fucking humans, learn to fucking drive," He screamed at the top of his lungs as he skirted away and dipped between the buildings. Soon he was at Palaina's side, his hate and fury rolling off his own body as it was Palaina's.

Something caught my attention and flicked my ear. I stared off towards the door, my expression blank, and then a wide grin came to my features. It was his voice that I heard.

I thought i heard Kuys and Palainas voices but i was afraid to think it could really be them. I didnt want to accept it. I didnt want to be dissapointed. I heard some noises outside of the door. I looked to Kahlan. For some reason she was smiling but i passed it off as a day dream.

"Kahlan if there coming for you dont let them do anything to you okay." I fairly shouted this at her. I would not let them do to her as they did to me. NO WAY IN HELL!!!!

She looked at me again a frown covering her face. Her face was questioning and i knew she wouldn't ask again what they did to me. She'd repect my wishes, but she needed to know now incase they were comeing for us again. "They didn't just try to make me do stuff. They made me do stuff." My eyes were pleading when i looked at her.

Her eyes instantly hardened.

I felt Kuy by my side. "Sorry but I know they did something to Anakalia. i just know they did." I pushed my legs as hard as they would go. Suddenly I came upon Ana's and Kahlan's scent . I skidded to a complete stop by this building that had a car parked next to it. Same tires that left the marks i thought to myself. YES!!!
