Snowy Forest

[Anakalia]

I looked at them one last time. Then got up and streched. I shook awkwardly, then looked at them again. "If you don't mind im going to go take a nap befoire tonight. Of course that is uness you would like to sleep through out the night." I stated as i walked into my room that afternoon. As i slept i had strange dreams of a lone bluish silver worlf male. I had no idea who he was he just seemed so lonely. I watched from the view of someone who just floated around. I watched as her trecked through the woods. I cried out when i saw him fall into the snow he rubbed his head against his paw but continued on. His eyes were a black but they also had gold streakes running through them. they were beautiful. i smiled as he got up to walk again. I woke up with a start. It was early evening when i went into livingroom to find Kahlan and Kuy. I walked up to the kill that was still placed there. I took a bite and laid down by the fire again. I loved the night. I liked my lips to rid the blood and smiled in memory of the beautiful wolf of my dreams.

I slept contently, dreaming of my love as he laid against me. Night had come as the light that filtered through what branches thye could was a silvery moonlit colo. I smile, and yawned, getting to my feet and stretching my back leg muscles. I was feeling fantastic this night, I confirmed as I stepped towards the meat, taking a small bite and walking back over to Kuy as he slept on. I rested my head on his back while I chewed and saw Anakalia come out.

When i laid down i smiled at Kahlan. I have really come to enjoy their company. "How was your night?" I asked as i sighed. He was so pretty i wish he was real i thought tp myself. I could tell that they were she staring at me as i day dreamed. I looked at her again. "What?"

"Night? Night just fell."

I said, blinking at her. Then I saw the look on her face, the way she dreamed. Ah, how it felt to just day dream every day. I smiled at her, a little mischevious smile. When she asked me her question, I couldn't help but grin.

"Daydreaming, eh?"

"Oh you so know what i met, how was your afternoon and good evining" I looked at her teasing. I smiled at her, "That easy to tell huh?" When I saw her nodd I got up and moved a little closer to her. "Guess you could say that. I just had a dream of another wolf. He was a sliver gray like me but he had a deep blue huge to him it was beautiful, and his eyes were so black they were amazing. They also had gold spiking out from the irisis." I smiled again and set my head on my paws. "He was a lone wolf like me. I just wish he were real. In my dream he was tiered and a little weak but he still continued on through thae snow. He was a tall wolf and a quite one too. He had a lot of muscle and thick fur to add to it." I looked at her again and she was just staring at me. "Whats funny is he's not even real." A laugh rolled through my throat making my upper body shake a little.

I laughed, my tone was rich. I listened to her as she described her dream to me, how she told me of the brute in her dream. I smiled as I listened and when she finished talking, my smile disappeared and I arched one eyebrow, my tone serious.

"What if he is?"

I looked at her was it possible...naww no way. Could he be? I sighed. I hooped he was but then I'd be worried about him. Hope surged through me at the thought, but then quickly died down as i reminded myself not everything can you hope for becasue everytime i get my hopes up they end up coming crashing down on me. I looked at her then scratched behind my ear. "Could he be? Is it possible?" I knew i had a hipeful gleam in my eye. dang it i have failed miserably at not getting my hopes up again. Suprize suprize. I look up at a sound my ears perking in curiostiy. Hmm i wonder should i go search for him in these woods maybe. NO ANAKALIA you will not allow your self to leave tonight to many things have happened lately. I look to Kahlan and smile.

I watched her contemplate my words. My thoughts wandered while her thoughts tumbled over my very few words. I turn towards Kuy, who was still asleep, with a regale rapture. That man could sleep through anything, I concluded. I smiled and looked back up at Anakalia as she began to speak again. I simply shrugged and said,

"If you believe he is, then he most likely is. I mean I used to have dreams where everything was flashing before my eyes, but the most prominent color was gold, and slowly, as each time I dreamed the same dream, it grew into a shape of a wolf and his scent became apparent to me. I always pondered what this could mean when one day I smelled the same scent that I had smelled in my dreams, and this was just before I ran into Kuy."

I smiled a toothy grin at her. I could see that hopeful gleam in her eye, and my eyes were filled with amusment. I knew she was mentally arguing with herself, and I waited patiently as she did so.

I sighed inwardly. Maybe he is real, i thought to myself. I shook my head slightly. I stood up "Im gonna go outside but dont worry this time im gonna stay right out front this time." I slowly walked to the door. I heard Kuy moving around as i left. When i got out side i sat about ten feet away from the den and looked to the sky it was a beautiful night. I streched out in the night. I could hear Kah and Kuy talking quietly inside

I nodded as she stepped outside, and felt stirring against my side as I turned my head to look at him as was met with a surprise nose to nose from Kuy. He blinked sleepily and grinned, as he licked my muzzle. I scowled playfully at him, grinning.

"'evening, hun." I say as he yawns and streches out his forearms. He smiles at me and I give his ear a lick.

"evening, beautiful." He says as I smile. Oh I do hope that wolf is real for Anakalia.

padded over to some covering by the trees and lay down my back legs curled close to my body. I look to the sky and see many stars brightly shining though it is hard to look through the branches. Water and snow dropped from a branck above me on to my head. I shook it lightly to get the snow of.

I looked up to see a snow owl above me looking for his prey. His head jerked suddenly at a sound and i could here it too. There was something coming towards us. I let out a low growl then got up tp sprint into the den again letting out on last growl as i walked in. Kuy and Kahlan were snuggled close but they heard the last of my growl when i entered. They looked up in surprise.

"What's wrong?" My head snapped up to them when they asked.

"Nothing i say. At least not anymore. I covered my tracks so what ever it was couldn't find its way in here even it it tried its hardest." I lay down by the fire again getting warm.

Kahlan and Kuy looked at each other.

"Well, atleast it will be hard to distinquish our scent as it is all over the den, and well over fifty yards away."

I say as I look at her, then turned my attention back to Kuy. What could have spooked her so badley, I wonder.

I looked at her again. I tried concentraiting on the outside world. I listened hard for anymore noises. What was weired was the fact it was abnormally quiet.

I fidgeted a lot and got up to pace at times in fromt of the den door. At others i sat in front of it looking out as if to gaurded. I felt uneasy. And i know i felt another presence other then or own in the world just off their den. I wasn't scared or worried about danger i was just uneasy. It was hard to set me on my side, but something had. It didn't even feel like my onw feelings. They all felt out of body some how.

I look back at Kahlan. Kuy walked into their room for some reason for a second and I let out a little cry to her. I din't speak. I felt so distressed. I didn't know what was wrong. I walked close to the kill. I was going to get a bite, but my stomach over turned so I walked back to the door. I could feel it out there some where. I let out another little cry this time out the door.

I walked to my corner and sat down again. I was quiet except small whimppers from time to time. Then i was just quiet all together.

I watched her, obviously confused as to what she was doing that for. It reminded me of a pup whose mother just left the den to go out hunting or something of that sort. I was saddened when Kuy left my side to go to our bedroom, but for what reason I couldn't fathom.

A little worried as Anakalia's anxiousness was beginning to rub onto me. A soft rumbling noise came from my throat, barely audible, but I could feel my voice strings termbling in my throat to the rumble. It seemed to have been suddenly quiet.

I looked at Kuhlan when i heard a soft rumbaling admit from her. I jumped up again surprised. SHe must have realized how quiet outside it was. I walked to the door and put my head out a little bit. I smelled the air. It smelled clean to me. No mysterious smell here.

I sighed and walked back into the room. When i turned around i jumped in surprise Kuy had come back out now and was no less then five feet away from me now. Kahlan was right with him. They looked at me in question and i just shook my head that i hadn't seen, smelled, or heard anything out there but a small ruffle of a breeze. I started to pace again.

I low soft howl came from my lips. It sounded as if i were about to cry. It wasn't like me to be this way. I lay down in my corner again and close my eyes to rest them. Still fidgeting everyone in a while. I fell asleep in a restless state.
