Snowy Forest

Confused like no other, I began to walk around my living room, any pain gone now as I contemplated what was making Anakalia feel this way. Kuy had come back out and he nudged up against me, saying nothing.

I looked towards the door and sat down near it. Kuy sat next to me and watched, and slowly I drifted asleep as well, leaving Kuy to stand watch.

I jumped awake and sprinted out the door. I looked back to see Kuy and Kahlan following me. I stopped and smelled the air. I couldn't find the scent i was looking for. I cried out a little.

Kuy and Kahlan caught up with me. "What's wrong?" They asked in unison. I looked at them hystareclly. "He's real Kahlan. He's real." I saw him in my dreams again. He saw me sitting outside the den but didnt see me come back in. He heard whn i cried out, but couldnt see where i was. He's real, and he believes he is in trouble!!!"

I exclaimed running ahead again. I let out a low but loud howl into the air.

I knew it, I said as I looked around me and lifted my head to the sky. Sniffing I could catch none but the faintest smell of anothe rbrute on our land. Living in secrecy for so long, and now wolves are popping up everywhere? I shake my head slightly, and smile. I lifted my head and let my howl join hers.

However, Kuy wasn't so inviting. Instead he lowered his head and growled, his claws digging into the freshly laid snow. He had no idea who or what this he was, and wasn't about to let his guard down, if he was in trouble or not.

I could feel the tension roll of Kuy. I was sorry for bringing another but he needed me. When i heard Kahlans howl I knew she would help me find him. I also knew she thought she was right. I laughed inside at this.

I took off at a full run around in cricles slowly moving outwards. From the den. I let out another howl Kahlan lending hers in an offering hand. I shook my head and continued to run.

I got slammed against the ground so hard I couldn't breath. That's when i felt another wolfs head rub against mine. I laughed happily i found him. I could feel him laughing too. I looked in to his deep black eyes. "Hey," he said and rubbed his head against mine again. He still had me pinned to the ground.

Suddenly his wait was off me. What the heck!!!

I heard her laughter and knew she4 hqad found him. I smiled and closed my eyes, rubbing my head into Kuy's shoulder, making him forget his stance and turn to me. I smile at him, and give his ear a lick.

"It's alright, he won't bother you."

I get up and run to him. We start to play around. He was chasing me around.. he was so beautiful and graceful. I sigh in content when he comes up to me and rubs his head against mine. He licks my ear and i lick his back.

I look up to see Kuy and Kahlan there. "Palaina this is Kuy and Kahlan. You guys this is Palaina."

He lowered his head to them to show respect. I smiled and nudged him again. He was talled then me. And he was so sexy he had a great color fur.

I smile slyly at him as they approach. I say, "Welcome."

Kuy is looking at him through bright blue eyes. He says nothing nor does anything. He grunted when Palaina dipped his head low to show respect, and finally he as well said welcome.

I smile in content. Even Kuy said welcome. Which was extremly surprising. I walk towards the general area of the den and stop suddenly it wasn't my place to invite him in. I sat and qurcked my head to the side. "what's wrong little one?" Palaina said. I smiled at the notion only he would think i was little. I laughed and rubbed his neck with my head. He smiles showimg his big teeth. I looked at Kuhlan and Kuy for permission. I sat and stared. When they gave me an answering yes. I let out a bark that was a short laugh. Then spun in a circle in delight. I then nipped Palaina in the ear and ran away. Him chacing after me. I zig zaged through trees. Then suddenly stoping though Palaina didn't know. He went right past me and i jumped into his side making him fall to the ground with me standing over him. I licked his face again. Then look in his eyes delighted me.

I smile gently when they rush off, obvlious to everythng but their joy. A couple so in love, their world wrapped in it I sighed and leaned against Kuy, remembering the time when I first knew I loved him. I turned and walked back into the den, and settled gain near the soft burning fire. I sighed and rested my head on my paws, and Kuy rested his head on my back.

I would tell her in time.

I laugh as we slowly make our way back to the den. Learning more about each other. "Night or Day i asked him?"

"Night undoubtedly night." He licked my ear as we neared the den. When i walked in i saw kuy asleep and kahlan resting there. we walked in quietly. I nodded to her. Then walked over to the kill and took a bite and so did palaina. I walked to my room him following behind me. i turned to smile a good morning to kahlan and went in. We fell asleep with his head on my paws and my head on his shoulder.

That night i had bad dreams again. But i also had them stilled when i heard palaina shshing me from beside. He snuggled closer and i went into a deep sleep of no dreams for once.

I sleepily watched her and Palaina enter their own room, and I rouse Kuy, and led him int our own den, where I snuggled up close to him and fell asleep, dreaming, dreaming.

I awoke late in the afternoon, the darkness, and warmft of my den comforting. Stretching I head out into the main room, where I began chewing on the meat. It was nearly finished, I noticed, now that four wolves were eating here, and I smiled.

I awoke to the sound of someone in the liviingroom. I sighed and left Palaina asleep. I went out and saw Kahlan eating at what little food we had. I sighes

"We must go hunting," I say and grab a small bite. "Then again we could have the guys go hunting and we could stay here and talk." I sugest. I yawn and lay down by the fire. I was still a little tiered. So i close y eyes.

I woke to something licking then rubbing its head against mine. I looke up to see Palaina there. I smile. "Me and Kuy are going hunting. Be safe little one." He says and i smile again.

I nod after them, giving Kuy a quick lick to his year, and a warm smile as they disappeared through the entrance. Silence followed after their leaving before I turned to Anakalia and smiled.

"I have something to tell you."

I look to Kahlan instantly. I knew she was serious i looked at her intently and listned.

"Yes kahlan?"

I sat up so i would be able to pay better attention.

So the moment had finally come. I stared at my paws. I didn't think it would be hard to tell her, I just didn't know what to say. I nervously twisted my paws around eachother and picking at the the deerskin, waiting for the right moment. I looked up at her, since she had sat up and smiled again.

"Anakalia, I'm expecting."
