Snowy Forest

[Anakalia]

I sat there satring at her for god i don't know how long. I blinked a couple of times and I stood up and walked to her I lay my head upon her shoulder in a hug. I smiled to myself. If therewere one wolf who deserved this it was her.

"Congradulations," I said. Then mooved back away from her. "How long?" I asked my head quirked to the side in curiosity. "Does Kuy know yet?" I couldn't wait for her answers i was giddy and excited. She looked so nervous.

"Are you okay?" I gave one last question to her. Before i sat and quietly waited for her to answer.

I giggled when her barrage of questions suddenly sprung up after all her silence. I hugged her back, and sat myself up.

"Thank you." I start off, smiling. I was beaming I knew this. "I gander about four weeks in, and no he doesn't know yet." I thingyed my head slightly at her last question. "Am I okay, as in?"

[Anakalia]

I looked at her. "Well if you are four weeks then when you got slammed into the tree you could have been hurt more then you thought." I said contimplating the the possibility.

"Have they moved yet," I asked excitedly. "When are you going to tell Kuy?" "What do you want them to be? OMG, you need food your eating for more then just one now. Sorry I've been eating the food you need. When you tell Kuy do you think he'll be excited?"

I couldn't keep the questions from coming. I was so happy for her. When I thought of Palaina my heart skipped a beat, and i smiled. For and instant my smile went away. I missed him and they hd only been gone for half an hour at the most.

I stood up and went to the door and smelled the air quietly. I felt Kahlan's eyes on my back. I let out a small sigh and walked back to her.

"Are you alright Anakalia?"

"Huh. Yeah I'm fine." I said looking at the ground. I moved my paw in a small circle. "I just kinda miss him already." I smiled sheepishly at her. Then it turned in to a wider smile when i remembered the news she had just told me. I jumped in surprise as they guys came back into the den with a bear and a deer. I laughed overly excited that he was finally back.

When he let his kill go he came up to me and licked my fac. I lauhed a little rubbing my head against his shoulder and neck. I bit him playfully and he tried to get me back but i backed away. I laughed at he lunged again. I looked at Kahlan and gave her a pointed nodd and ran into my bedroom Palaina right on my heels. He tackled me from the side. I landed with half his boddy on top of mine.

I laughed at him and his toothy grin. He looked so cute that way. "Your so beautiful" he said.
I looked into his eyes, "Thank you."
"Huh, I didn't say anything." He looked confused now.
"You just did you called me beautiful."
His eyes widened in shock. "I only thought that in my head sweetie." He said and I felt the world spin. Ah crap I thought as i blanked out. When i had awoken Palaina was asleep at my side. The first thing I thought was I hope Kahaln told Kuy.

[Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander]

I looked at here, the thought hadn't entered my mind. "Oh, I do hope their okay." I said, sighing, now worried. I began to lick at my stomach trying to reassure myself. I looked back up at her when she started asking questions again.

"A little bit, not really that noticeable unless your waiting to feel them. I'll probably tell him tonight, and I'm hoping for a mix of both, although I prefer to look after males myself. Oh it's alright, I don't think I'll be needing a whole lot more." And right as I said that, my stomach growled. "Oh, I hope their back soon. I do think he'll be excited to be a father."

I grinned, and the time passed by slowly when finally th two arrived. I jumped to my feet and rushed over to Kuy, smothering his muzzle with loving licks. He returned the licks, but pulled back shortly after doing so.

"Mm, my your excited." He commented as he gave my ear another lick. "I wonder why." I scuffed and swished my tail at him before digging into the deer. I figured I was more hungry then usual. Kuy joined me, and soon we had devoured a lot of the deer. I giggled at him when he smiled at me and licked off blood on my muzzle. Normally I was a clean eater, but I was hungry, no surprise.

When I saw that the other two had left the room, I nudged Kuy and led the way to our den. I sat him down on on our bed and prepared to tell him.I took a deep breath and spoke, "Kuy," I started. When he nodded to tell me to continue I did. "I'm expecting pups."

At first, his expression was stunned, and I silently anticipated what his reaction would be. Then he stood up, and started to lick my ears and cheek, intertwining his tail with mine.

"Oh Kah, this is wonderful news." He said inbetween kisses. Then he jumped in the air, exclaiming, "Oh, I'm going to be a father!"

I giggled at him and went to go lay down on the bed and was quickly joined by Kuy, who rested his head on my side, smiling. I whispered a goodnight to him, and was asleep before he could say "Goodnight, my love."

"Hey," whispered into his ear liking it slightly to wake him up. He moved his head a little and blinked his eyes open sleepily. I smiled and his eyes oppened more they were so dark and amazing i just looked at him.

"Having funn?" He said making fun of me as i stared at him. Sighing i nodded my head to his wuestion. "So how you feeling? You kinda scared me when you passed out." He lifted his head and shook it. Trying to get rid of his sleepyness all the way.

I watched as he got up and stretched his front legs. I looked him up and down. He had a great build that i feel in love with almost instantly. Granted he was a great looking wolf that's not why I loved him so much. It was him in general. "I have to tell you something." I sighed. "You can't say anything cause i font know if Kahaln has told Kuy yet. She's expecting pups." I exclaimed and sat up. My eyes danceing in light. I couldn't wait for her to have them and they grew up a little i loved pups. They were so cute.

I smiled at him and he came over and rubbed his head against mine and whispered in my ear. "It will be your turn soon enough." I looked shocked at him. How could he say that hebarley knew me. I watched as he walked to the door then beckoned me to follow with his tail.

Kuy was still passed out in our room, so I slinked out and left him to sleep. He was probably so overjoyed last night. I smiled to myself, and made my way over to the deer. I took a vouble bites, chewing softly while walking out of the den into the crisp night.

I took a deep breath of the cool air. I sighed, releasing the air in a cloud before my face. I laughed softly, chrystaline voice. I grinned, and circled around - stretching my legs and relaxing my muscles. When I walked back in, I saw Palaina and Anakalia in the living room.

"Ooh," I said when I first spotted them. Shaking my fur of loose snowflakes that had landed in my brack tresses, I stepped over to the fire and sat myself down. "Good night." I nodded at em.

[Anakalia]

I smiled at her. "Good Evening, I take it you told Kuy. You look so happy." I walked more towards the fire it being warmer there. "So i'm guessing Kuy's still asleep." lay down and curled into a small ball. Well as small as i could. Palaina laid next to me laying his head on my stomach. I growled at him playfully. He just smiled back. I laughed at him. I couldn't get mad at him. That sucks i thought.

I could tell he was laughing at me. I shook my head at him. Though i continued to smile. Suddenly a lost thought came to me again. I pereked my ears and stood quickly. His head falling off me and hitting the ground.

"What's wrong?" He asked a little concerned.

"I remember the night we found you. I had two dreams about you that night and in the second one you seemed upset like you were afraid of something. What was wrong?" I asked contimplatingly.

"Why, yes I did." I said, grinning from ear to ear. "And yes, he's pass out in bed right now."

I giggled to myself, knowing how bad that sounded. I thingyed my head when she suddenly jumped to her feet, and wondered what she was doing. Then she started questioning Palaina, which to that I remained silent with.

"You dreamed of me?" He said in a semi husky voice. He gave me a sly smile.

I tried not to laugh at him this was serious. "Yes but that's not the point hun. You were extremly scared. What was wrong?"

"Oh that, it was nothing. Earlier that night two men were following me and i feared they were poachers, but i made sure to lose them. It's all good now.

I looked at Kahaln. Crap! I knew i felt the presence of the unwanted around here. Maybe i was just parinoied he had said he'd gotten rid of them, but i was still worried about it. I let out a small whimper that neither heard. I was stressed out now.

I walked to the door giving one last look at Kahlan abnd Palaina. I needed a break. So I stepped outside for a breather. I heard Kahlan tell Palaina to let me be for the time being. And to let me relax i had been through a lot in the last couple of weeks.

He still didn't know what my family had done to me. I silently wished that some how i didn't have to tell him and he would figure it out or someone would tell him for me.

A low growl emitted from my direction, my ears were low and my hackles were raised. What the hell were humans doing this far into my territory? I saw Anakalia step out and Palaina making his way to the door to follow her.

"No," I said roughly, still very agitated by thew news of humans being so close to my home. "Leave her be, she's been through a lot." My voice had softed, but it still had that razor-sharp edge.

[Anakalia]

I let out a pent up breath. Thank you Kahlan you saved me an explination of why he should go bck in. I used my time to search around the area in close range. I didn't want to take it far incase that they had come closer then planned by him. I didn't find anything unusual. Nor did i smell anything wrong with the place.

The only thing weired about it was i felt so weired like i was being watched. It was probably just a mountain lion or something again. So i blew it off. I grew slowly unsetled. I wish she had let him out now. I slowly walked back to the den careful to cover my trail in case there was something out there. I sat out there for what felt like hours close to the door. Yet it was only half an hour to an hour at the most. I started to get a slight chill so i walked back in to the den.

I wondered what they had done while I was gone. I walked in and Kahlan was still there Kuy looked like he had just woken up as he was taking a bite of his kill. Palaina walked over to me and liked my ear softly. He was quiet and i offered nothing to say.

I looked back to Kuy and smile. "Congradulations Kuy." I bowed my head a little in respect.

"Can you believe it!" Kuy said, running close to the other two and jumping up and down. He was going nuts, and I sat there giggling. "I'm going to be a father!"

He rushes back over to me and smother my ears and the top of my head in licks, and I had to push him away to get him off of me. The whole meanwhile, I'm giggling at him. He made a pouting face at me, and I laughed. I looked over at Anakalia and nodded, insisting that I had told him what had happened with her.

Soon I was knocked on my side by Kuy's frantic movements, and he quickly apologized, giving me licks again and again. I shoved him off once more, trying to surpase my laughter and look mad at him.

I sat off in a corner laughing as Kuy was all over the place. That was when i did what i do best. I sat and observed. Watching over them. Remaining quiet. At times i would look over at Palaina. I watched to see what he ws thinking.

I laughed even harder when Kuy pushed Kahlan over. Then i quieted down some. palaina came over and gently rubbed his cold wet nose against the side of my head. He had a quiet saddness about him. It was also acompanied with a deadly anger which was extremly surprising. I looked at hi as he lay down at my feet. i watched Kah and Kuy lay there and talk quietly to each other. I felt like i was eavsdropping some how. So i walked over to the kill and took a bite. Damn a day or two more and they'd have to go hunting again.

I walked back over to Palaina and finished chewing. He stood up and looked at me. "Is it okay if i talk to you in the room?" He asked quietly. I slowly nodded my head in agreement. I turnded to look at Kahlan and nodded a goodnight to her incase we werent out again soon.

I nodded at her as they disappeared into their room. I figured it would be best to go to our own room to. Standing up, I led Kuy back to our room with my tail, flicking it gently. I knew the two wanted to be alone so I was glad when Kuy had calmed down. I snuggled up close to him as he told me stories of how he was when he was younger.

I walked over to the pelts and settled down. I was tiered he looked at me. His eyes on fire. I took a deep breathe and gulped. I told myself to never get on his bad side. "How could he?" Palaina roared his voice loud against the room. "Why? How could they get rid of someone as great as you?"

My lips turned up slightly at his comment. I looked to the round and closed my eyes. A silent tear rolled down my face at the thought of my mother. I looke dup again. My head held high as i remembered where my rightful place should be. At head of my pack. My father didn't deserve to rule over them. He didn't have there best intrests at heart. I was born to lead.

I looked at him and took a deep breathe. "Who am I to know what my father was thinking? I jus know that what he was, was wrong and not the greatest dicission he ever made." I looked straight at him now. I held my self at full height. "My father is wrong on many levels now he chooses to run my pack into the ground and I can't do anything about it. ANd as for me. He never cared about me so how would it hurt him in anyway to get rid of something he ditested so much."

I knew he could tell that my stength act was just that an act but I also knew he could see i was a born leader. He walked over to me and licked my ear. My cool facade fell and the tears rolled freely now. "Sweetie it;s okay." He ried to sooth me. Which slowly worked. I lay down and fell asleep with my head on his shoulder. He licking the side of my head to relax me more.
